Laboratory 6: OO Metrics

Objective

• To explore object oriented metrics
• To discuss scenarios for HW4.

Activities

00 Tutorials (50 minutes)

Choose a student to work with that you did not work with for HW2 or HW3. Together go to http://open.ncsu.edu/se/tutorials/ and do the OO Metrics tutorials.

Perform metrics analysis on both of your HW3 projects. Compare results and reason why one person's code has better or worse metrics relative to the other.

As a group, the class will discuss the comparisons you make on HW3 files and what can be learned via examning the metrics.

Break (5 minutes)

Break time.

Homework (45 minutes)

Read through HW4. With the same person you worked with for the OO tutorial, discuss and write down four scenarios that can be used for the sequence diagrams for HW4. Each person leaves with two scenarios that can be used in your HW4.
